Chalet

"It was FAB!! We even managed to 'snowboard' (when not sliding down the slope on my backside!!)
The Chalet was beautiful, the hot tub was great, and Jack and Kathy were soo lovely! We felt so very welcome!  We are already discussing comming back!!

"Sorry i haven't been in touch I have been meaning to since we returned but somehow have got sucked back into manic family life!! We had a great time, the chalet was wonderful, everything was beautifully clean and suited the two families perfectly. We had great weather with snow and sunshine, I can't fault anything!!

"Hi Peter, thanks for the email. We have had a wonderful week and can highly recommend the chalet to everyone. The location is fantastic with easy access to the whole of porte du soleil ski area and we were also very impressed with local ski area as well bearing in mind our group ranged from novice to advanced skiiers! The hot tub is a delight after a heavy day's skiing and the chalet was more than big enough for our party of 8 and a half!!! Thank you very much and can't wait to return next year! We didn't want to leave!! Thanks again and we will be in touch about next year very soon!"

"As for our stay in your chalet, it was fantastic. We honestly did not expect it to be so beautiful. Everything about the chalet was brilliant, there were no bad points whatsoever from everyone’s point of view, which made our stay all the better. Jack and Kathy were so helpful and we really appreciated everything they did to help us out because without them there we would’ve been lost as it was our first time. I would sincerely recommend staying in your chalet to anyone, the village of St Jean D’Aulps is very peaceful but also has great access to Morzine.

"Dear Peter,
The holiday was fab!!!!!!!!!!! - all rooms worked out really well. Everything we needed was there. The hot tub was absolutely brilliant - a very relaxing time was had by all at one stage or another during our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and we ate home every night bar one. Any way, many many thanks for helping to make our New Year one to remember. The fireworks in Morzine were truly magical a memory we will not forget.

Water Mills

"We had a really relaxed time, got the wood burners on, we used loads of wood and did nothing. We split into two relaxed groups and took half of the property each. We each did half of the cooking and then brought everything together on the kitchen table in the Mill, served ourselves and all ate at the big table in the Mill. After that we just decided which game to play next. We took a murder mystery game and played the other games. We use the mountain bikes and spent one afternoon in the cafes overlooking the harbour at La Rochelle, but other than that we just relaxed and chilled out" [Visitors took Mill and Wheelhouse- which can be linked]

"The place is great. St Martin on Ile de Re is fantastic for food and the local bar did us proud. The pools and decking are really superb and the local wine tasting in Mareuil was excellent."

"We had a fantastic time at Thue - we all agreed it was our best holiday yet! The house was very comfortable with plenty of space for all 11 of us and had all the little 'extra's' that you only normally expect to find at home. The plastic plates and cups were a real bonus with six boisterous children, it certainly made mealtimes more relaxing! The pool was in constant use by both children and adults and we particularly loved the outdoor covered eating area which we made good use of both day and night. The bikes were great and we had lots of family bike rides locally. Thanks for the write up on the area which we found very useful, we visited many of the recommended places and had a great time. All in all a really enjoyable holiday home which we would thoroughly recommend to other families"

"We have returned from a wonderful two weeks at the mill. the house suited our three families perfectly and the weather was wonderful. we were also impressed by the area - we had not expected herminault (L'Hermenault) to have so many facilities. we used the pharmacy and doctor once while we were there and both were sorted within 5 minutes ! we had also not expected fontenay-le- compte to be so pretty and we spent a couple of lovely days and evenings there. it turned out to be the sort of holiday where we didn't have to travel far at all. we are looking at trying to arrange another booking for next year and will check out availability on your website"

"We had a brilliant week, the wheelhouse was lovely. Ideal place for families with young children. We used the bar/restaurant in the next village (turn right at bottom of driveway, less than a mile) and the people there were really friendly. Weather was good too, bit too hot at some points for the fair skinned of our group! Anyway you've done a great job there, thanks again!

 We had a really super holiday. We enjoyed the rural setting. it's such a nice big place. No problems really, nice big kitchen and well equipped. The washing machine did sterling service and was on every day. Prices were very reasonable for the size"

"Futuroscope -we loved it. Sable's d'Olonne really nice clean and good facilities. Visited La Rochelle a couple of times. Need to make people aware that very first beaches on Ile de Re don't have best facilities so worth doing a mini tour first. The adventure park in Mervent was really good fun. We have two very active daughters who loved it."

The bedding was lovely, nice to have quality cotton duvet covers and pillowcases. The cooker was super and the quickness of the gas hob great to use. The amount of crockery and cutlery was generous and the patio plates and beakers ideal for our grandchild to use"

"We all enjoyed the Pierre Brun park on the Sunday and have some footage of the whole family on the large swingboat. A lot of laughing and shrieks of ' no higher'. The trampolines were much enjoyed by the big boys. We didn't get the chance to try the funny bikes which was a shame"

"Worth noting was the go-karting at Fontenay-le-Comte. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all the males on the trip. They had a really good time even if it was fairly short lived and I think a bit expensive. I gather the track and the racing is much more exciting than any they have tried around our area"
